To support the delivery of an agreed Field Quality Excellence vision and strategy through continuous improvement, ensuring optimum efficiencies, effectiveness and profitability, initiating and implementing change as appropriate to meet the needs of the business through the identification and sharing of best practice through driving out waste and variability and the creation of a proactive improvement culture.
 
  • Work on projects which lead the organization towards Zero carbon emission targets. He/she will be responsible to develop and ensure the success of schemes for waste management, renewable energy, recycling, and pollution reduction and prevention. Many of these projects relate to Schindler Group’s ambitious target to go carbon neutral by 2040.
 
Key responsibilities include:    
  • Individual Contributor role, who can work independently, identify problems and opportunities at hand.
  • To Support and lead lean business work practices to drive continuous improvement activity at site. 
  • Drive process improvement & transformational projects on key business problems. 
  • Should be able to do due diligence activities to proactively identify improvement areas.
  • Increased focus on ensuring comprehensive control coverage by analysing data to assess impact, root cause and recommend mitigation strategies leveraging automated key risk indicators.
  • Experience compiling complex informationand developing thoughtful material for presentation / updates.
  • The position requires the ability to support global initiatives and participate in special projects across multiple regions and time zones.
  • Demonstrate advanced understanding of business processes, internal control risk management, controls and related standards.
  • The incumbent should demonstrate behaviours which are in line with the Company values & help to improve the Quality, Safety & Environmental culture.
  • Deployment and implemetation of Group / Department Policies & Procedures related to Sustainability & EMS. 
  • Implementation and maintenance of effective Environmental Management System according to Global guidelines.
  • Supporting and advising process owners and line managers in integrating environment-related activities and responsibilities into their processes and organization, e.g. in process design or in operational regulations such as work instructions, checklists, etc.
  • Leading Sustainability projects like Introduction of Renewable energy projetcs, EV for Fleet, EV for employees, Water Positive project, Carbon sequestration project etc. 
  • Co-ordinate with service providers, suppliers, consultants to ensure quality of services provided, along with conducting periodic review meetings with them. 
  • Sharing of Best practices within Schindler India, with the global PMO and on the intranet site (i.e. at least one success story quarterly). 
  • Regularly update and align actions and initiatives with the global Program Management Office (PMO).

Knowledge and experience Experience in management and successful delivery of complex, cross functional projects
  Exceptional analytical thinking and skills, attention to detail and communication skills.
  Strong knowledge of Process improvement.
  Experience in documenting business process flows, creating / updating SOP’s & documenting business.
  Conceptual, analytical and evaluative skills to conduct independent research and analysis.
  Advantage if Experience towards standard environmental methodology, e.g. environmental impact analysis, environmental relevance matrix, environmental reporting, etc.
  5+ years of total experience. 
Other competencies Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to deal with all of the business hierarchy.
  Strong technical, commercial and operational understanding. Added advantage if sustainability is part of competance.
  Leadership skills and excellent team skills, as this role will involve collaboration across multiple departments.
  Self motivated, improvement oriented and well versed in organizational change management
  Good knowledge & Working experience on MS tools – Advanced excel, Visio, Word & PowerPoint.
Education MS, MBA in a quantitative field such as econometrics, statistics, mathematics, operational research, environmental sciences, engineering or computer science.
  Lean six sigma black belt – desired, with hands on experience.
  Certification in Data Science, Data Analytics, AI, ML etc - desired. 
  Additional Environmental / Sustainability certifications - desired.
