Procurement NPMS (Senior Engineer/ Assistant Manager)

 

Your main responsibilities

Objectives of the function

  • Ensure functioning in synchronization with function as well as organization objectives for arranging non-production material, services & capital items for project buying in time for field Operation HO & PAN India
  • Ensuring optimal supplier performance, price & cost out performance.
  •  Develop and maintain supplier relationships management to deliver continuous improvement in delivery of goods and services by the supply base

 

Responsibilities

  • Responsible as indirect category buyer for ensuring cost effective operations through implementation of NPMS process and monitoring availability of requisite materials and services as per requirement through distribution channel.
  • Responsible to float RFQ and negotiate Tender, Opex, Capex & Critical services commodities/contracts with suppliers.
  • Interaction with local/global suppliers and searching new prospect suppliers as per requirement. Negotiating with local/global suppliers for annual rate contract of spares and services as per price list.
  • Identifying potential cost improvement projects (Cost out) and leading them to successful completion Fit-out project commercial closure.
  • Supporting internal CFT team in various efficiency improvement/innovation projects.
  • Maintaining monthly MIS spend for NPMS category and reporting.
  • Responsible for end-to-end procurement cycle, Repetitive buying parts price updation, PO release approval & accountable for on time supplier payment
  • Implementing various cost calculation techniques for projects e.g. activity base costing to estimate & budget price.
  • Should have basic knowledge of terms & Conditions related to import/export related topics like incoterms wrt to landed cost calculation.
  • Should have knowledge of local packaging concepts, able to identify right packaging for components.
  • Monthly collect, analyse & report Cost out information locally & globally.
  • Closely collaborating with the local/global category teams to support the implementation of category strategy and achieve cost saving through sourcing from qualified suppliers locally and globally.

What you bring

Education

  • Graduate in Mechanical / Automobile/ Production/Electrical Engineering
  • Post Graduate qualifications in Materials Management/Logistics Management (preferred)

 

Professional experience

  •  6-7 years of overall non-production material procurement experience in automobile/E & E industry will be preferred.
  • Should have good exposure working with cross-functional teams.
  • Should have knowledge of spend management/SAP Ariba
  • Should have strong NPMS Procurement base

 

Professional skills

  • Strong in data analytics, data presentation & reporting
  • Good Commercial knowledge and negotiation skills
  • Technical competent and proficient in engineering concepts
  • Must be able to learn, understand and apply new technologies/tools.
  • Familiarity with IMS, Sustainability Systems
  • Achievement orientation & drive for results
  • Time management, Planning & organizing skills

  • Marathi, English, Hindi
