Project Manager - New Installation

 

Your main responsibilities

As a Project Manager, you’ll own the full project lifecycle for new installations, driving high-quality, financially successful outcomes. You’ll partner closely with sales, field superintendents, and customers to meet specifications and resolve any technical challenges along the way.

Project Management

  • Oversee new installation projects from start to close-out, ensuring efficiency and profitability
  • Manage submittals and coordinate timely delivery of materials
  • Work with Field Superintendents to track progress and proactively address delays
  • Partner with Engineering and local/regional leadership to keep projects on track
  • Maintain vendor relationships and support forecasting and budget planning
  • Identify and manage change orders, including approvals before work begins

Financial Ownership

  • Manage project revenue and ensure alignment with fulfillment guidelines
  • Drive timely invoicing, targeting 90% collection prior to turnover

Customer Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships throughout the project lifecycle
  • Ensure certified payroll is completed accurately and in compliance with prevailing wage requirements

Quality & Safety Compliance

  • Ensure all work meets Schindler and customer standards for quality, performance, and safety

What you’ll learn

  • New Installation tools and processes through a 3-day onboarding program
  • One-on-one mentorship to accelerate your growth
  • Practical experience with project management tools and systems
 

What you bring


•    Bachelor’s degree preferred
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills
•    Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, especially Excel

 Preferred 
•    Experience in the construction, elevator or related building systems industry
•    Familiarity with SAP, Lotus Notes, and project management software like Procore
•    Ability to read schematics and blueprints 
•    Strong financial acumen
