Break Setup Operator

 

Your main responsibilities

•    Must be able to set up and operate all bending equipment in the sheet metal area
•    Set up equipment for others when called upon
•    Be capable of proficiently operating all equipment in the sheet metal department
•    Properly use measuring tools (caliper, tape measure, etc.)
•    Assist Working Foreman
•    Knowledge of bend allowance and layout
•    Able to read and understand engineering drawings and PDF files
•    Have additional specialized skills that can be used for productivity enhancement
•    Set up, program and train others in the department
•    Work without supervision
•    Job requires lifting of relatively heavy material
•    Follow and all Quality and Safety procedures
•    To be capable of reading, receiving instructions and communicating in English.
•    The employee is frequently required to stand; walk primarily on a level surface; sit; use hands and arms to write type and reach above shoulder heights, below the waist or lift as required to file documents or store materials throughout the workday. Proper lifting techniques required. The employee must frequently lift 25-40 pounds and/or move up to 40 pounds (team lift).

 

What you bring

  • High school graduate
  • ELEC/MECH Engineering, drawing and BOM
  • Manufacturing process, equipment, routing
  • Multiple task management and project management
  • Problem solving skills or lean six sigma
  • Engineering understanding (mechanical and electrical; print reading)    
  • Supply Chain and Industrialization knowhow and experience
  • Analytical competency (data mining, problem analysis; strong Excel skills)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills 
  • SAP knowledge of material management, including design and implementation

Base Salary $29.05/hour / 60,424/year

The above represents the typical salary range for this position. Revisions to the range may be considered based on your experience, education, location, demonstrated skills, and alignment with business priorities. Please note that the compensation listed reflects only base salary and does not include commissions or longer-term incentives.

Salary range may differ based on the final geographic location of the position.
