Test Automation Engineer

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic, collaborative, and innovative team. In your role you have ownership for the following subjects:

Build up and maintain the infrastructure for testing and developing elevator control system software, including appropriate documentation;
-
Ensure maintenance and operability of elevator controller simulators; understand the concept and fix issues related to simulators;
-
Enhance/optimize simulation environments for future needs or better usability/reproducibility;
-
Further develop elevator controller simulation models in Python and the different simulation applications as well as integrate failure modes / testing functions;
-
Develop and maintain the software test infrastructure and automation to fully support the needs of development teams;
-
Ensure quality of deliverables and report them to test and/or project managers. Troubleshoot problems or bring the technical experts together (HW/SW);

Produce effective technical documentation;

Collaborate with team colleagues locally and remotely and drive know-how exchange.

Further qualifications may include:
-
Degree in Computer Science or equivalent;
-
Basic understanding in electronics, testing, and quality assurance of software-intensive automation products;
-
Understanding of state-of-the-art software engineering practices;
-
Proficient coding in Python. Knowledge of other OOP coding languages is a plus;
-
Experience in testing and/or building test infrastructures for software solutions;
-
Knowledge about Linux and embedded systems
-
React (or other web fronted frmework) knowledge would be a plus;
-
Used to collaborate in an international, distributed environment with changing priorities. Preferrably experienced with test automation environments;
-
Understanding software development technologies and practices, different test methods and test automation technologies and practices, agile processes and tools (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, schematic tools);
-
Elevator system knowledge is a plus;
-
Self-directed and self-organized, highly responsible and reliable team player, good analytic skills, quick learner, open minded for new technologies and a generator of innovative ideas;

Fluent in English.
